Rik Erickson is a juried member of The National Society of Mural Painters in New York City.
He is also a member of the San Diego Art Institute & the Stencil Artists League (SALI).
His client list includes interior designers, architects, government, U.S. military, businesses, non-profit
organizations & private homeowners.

With literally hundreds of world-class trompe l'oeil, murals, faux finishes, custom artwork, & unique projects
completed, Rik Erickson has a long list of credentials, references, satisfied clients and a broad based knowledge of
all aspects of the artist's  trade.

His World-class artwork can be seen in high end homes, businesses & public places.
He is considered an expert in murals & trompe l'oeil ("trick the eye").

He is fluent in most types of beautiful faux wall techniques including  marble & stone, old world plasters, aged patinas,
color washes, glazes, Venetian plasters, Belagio, hand painted embellishments & more. His sense of color coordinating
and color matching is at an extremely high level due to a life time of experimenting and working with colors & color mixing.

Mediums fluent in include: oil, acrylics, marble plasters, pastels, gold leaf, mixed media and wood. He produces wonderful
landscape murals that are custom matched to the desires of his clients. He  also continues to produce & exhibit fine artist
paintings in oils, acrylics, pastels, mixed media & many new, experimental art techniques.

MUSIC
Rik has studied contemporary jazz, blues and rock music for many years. He designed and built his electric guitar from a block of wood in 1982. Click below to see a closer look and steps to how it was built.

MARTIAL ARTS
Rik Erickson has studied traditional martial arts and chi-gung for over 20 years.
He has earned a black belt in SHAOLIN KEMPO and is also a member of the KARAZENPO GO SHINJUTSU BLACK BELT SOCIETY.

In addition he has earned a black sash and is certified to teach CHI-GUNG under 7th generation Grandmaster James Patrick Lacey in "Mew Hing's 18 Doaist Palms Chinese Kung Fu System".
