GASLAMP QUARTER ASSOCIATION The Gaslamp Quarter Association (GQA) had the pleasure of working with Rik Erickson on a project to beautify our community. Rik painted a movable mural which was used on oneof the buildings slated for redevelopment and located in the heart of the historic district. The mural was commissioned by the Center City Development Corporation (CCDC) with the intent to move the mural to another site within the Gaslamp Quarter once construction begins on the McGurck building. We get so many compliments. People really think the faux stone in the niche is actually the stone you matched perfectly from the courtyard. The "Herbs in the Window" scene on the tumbled marble backsplash is so subtle and charming--just what was needed in that spot to warm up the kitchen. We were very impressed that you took the time to research the appropriate paint products that would adhere to the finished marble and withstand the extreme heat of the cook top.
