Egyptian Mural
This mural was inspired by an Egyptian "Stele" (from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City) (see below)
The client asked for an "Egyptian mural" and I came up with this art concept which covers a wall 32' long x 12' high. After being completed
the mural was then "Color-Washed" to wash out the mural and to soften, distress, age and antique.
A stele is a stone or wooden slab, erected for funerals or commemorative purposes, most usually decorated with the names and titles of
the deceased or living — inscribed, carved in relief (bas-relief, sunken-relief, high-relief, and so forth), or painted onto the slab.
