Garden Next to The Sea Progress Pictures
Here are some step by step pictures on the process of painting this mural.
First "Brown-Coat" of Marmorino Italian plaster. This first coat is tinted a brownish color and applied throughout all rooms.
The next coats will be pure white but leaving "Voids" to show through. (Purposefully letting the brow layer be shown in spots)
Marmorino is a thick, marble & lime plaster imported from Italy. DEPTH can be seen & felt which gives more richness & character to the walls.
You can see that the 2nd & 3rd layers of pure white Marmorino plaster
have been applied leaving the "Voids" of the previous brown coat showing through here & there.
Here, I start to lay out the composition with light, color-washes. The RENDERING was completed using Photoshop.
This shot shows a little better the BURNT UMBER wax patina that goes over the pure white to build up character & movement.
Notice the voids left...See below to see the final step which is the lavender & blue wax patinas softly added for extra ambience.
The lavender & blue wax patinas are very, very soft & subtle so that it is hard for a camera to see them...but in real life
the effect is quite subtle & beautiful.

BATHROOM AREA
Make a "Master" template to be used for all of the corner brackets after ceiling is painted blue & clouds are softly brushed on.
Adding darker blue leaves for a distance effect followed by different shades of green leaves followed by the pink roses.
The white decorative corner accents then have bluish shadows added for more depth along each edge.
Lastly, seagulls are added ....and then a decorative stencil design over the sink area.
