Handmade Hardrock Maple Guitar
"This guitar was designed, cut and carved by myself over a one year period.
I sketched various shapes until I came up with this one. I wanted something unique. It has a heart cut into the right side.
The body is hard-rock maple with mahogany and redwood center pieces. The fretboard is birdseye maple. I carved the 12 inch radius for the fretboard
, measured and sawed all of the frets into their critical positions. I then hammered in the frets and drilled holes for the aluminum fretboard markers.
After I finished all of the wood parts, I hand rubbed 50 coats of linseed oil into the wood to give it a rich, deep glow and for extra deep protection.
I cut the brass surround plates and pick-guard and installed all of the electronic parts.
This was my "baby" so I was so proud when after all of the studying and labor I did, I plugged it in and it played perfectly.
