Harry Potter Theme Room
Sometimes it's just more impactful to have the entire room or rooms painted EVERYWHERE! . This project was for Alpine Tendercare In Alpine. CA.
All walls were incorporated into a Harry Potter theme room...You are enmeshed into an environment...
At bottom of page you will see what the kids had to say about these rooms...
Upon opening the door you see Dumbledore in a window at top of stairs in this "Alley Scene". To the right is a mural of Mugwarts school.
Going upstairs the "Old Stone" walls and broken plaster continue along with more doors and windows in the alley.
At the top of the stairs, you will see more windows and stone work. Also notice the Hand painted signs on wood and wrought iron brackets to hang them by.
This gives that Old-English look. Two baby owls are in a nest on right side and Hedwig is painted on aged canvas and hung.
Close-up of baby owls.
At top is the main study room complete with Harry Potter and other characters & murals. Also Hand painted signs and faux wood graining.
To the left, along with aged faux wall treatments, is the library area with wall designs and hand-made blackboards.
On this wall area, we have a mural with Malfoy entering a hallway maze. Aged faux wall treatments continue on all walls.
In this area fans will remember the "Magic Door" that appears to let Harry and his students begin their training. Also, notice the "Dobby Door".
As we enter the "Magic Room", we see Potter characters painted on five doors along with continued wall treatments.
Here, Hagrid pokes his head out to remind students to "Do their studies".
I made a suggestion to face the mirrors on this wall to each other to have an "Infinity Wall".
A 8' x 8' mural of Harry and cohorts fly across the blue sky. On the outside of building this sign shows children where to go.
Dear Rik,
My husband and I wish to express our sincere appreciation for the magnificent work you did on our preschool, Alpine Tendercare II.
When the parents, and especially the children walk up the stairs of Diagon Alley and into the Muggle's Learning Chamber they are over whelmed.
Universally their mouths drop open and exclaim. “Oh My god!”, “Holy Cow!”, and my favorite, “This is sooooo cool.”
The atmosphere your work has set for this tutoring program will ensure its success. The parents and children are sold on it once they step into the room and see your work.
Thank you again for your creativity and hard work
Respectfully,
Beverly and Donovan Jacobs
Alpine Tendercare
