Mural Tour Page 1

This mural was painted on canvas in studio and then mounted on the wall at clients house.
It is a soft and hazy scene of a Venetian canal from a window with trompe l'oeil rhododendron on the window sill.

This mural is painted in the dining area in softer colors so as to be relaxing and make the dining area inviting & tropical as the
viewer "walks into the distant & peaceful ocean"...
The green columns echo other columns in the residence that were also faux treated in a verdigris marble technique to
match existing marble counters. (see below)
Above the mantel, the wall was treated to a soft  Belagio Marble technique especially created for this wall. (see below)
All walls were faux treated to a soft umber color wash.

16' x 12' = 192 sq. ft.   Illuminated by area lights

These murals were commissioned for a Lexus Dealership in Santa Monica, California,
The theme is California Mission style painted in a trompe l'oeil fashion. After gathering many photos of
missions in the US and Mexico,  I came up with these designs. The mural ideas were heavily
influenced by the mission in San Juan Capistrano in Southern California which I found
to be the most beautiful.
