Taking photographs & looking through books in an art reference library for inspirations and ideas. </div> <div> b. Making study's, drawings and/or computer renderings for the project </div> <div> c. Coming up with the best possible design idea for the project.</div> <bR> <div>  The rendering is basically a "Jumping off point". </div> <div> The full scale mural is always far more detailed and more life-like but this gives a basic idea &  is what the client OK's before work is begun. Changes of up to two hours time are at no extra charge. </div> <div> I use traditional hand drawn techniques combined with the latest in digital imaging. I will take pictures of the wall area and digitally implant the mural into the area to be muralized if requested.</div> <bR> <div> <U>FAUX SAMPLE BOARDS</U> are required to show the MASTER SAMPLE for the faux wall treatment. There is a $150 fee for up to two samples. You OK one of these boards before faux work is begun. </div> <bR> <div> If after seeing my previous work, and you feel you have enough trust in my artistic abilities, you may ask that I proceed at my own artistic discretion. Some customers want a high level of detail (Hyper-Realism or trompe l'oeil) </div> <div> and others may need a looser artistic feel  to the work...  Still others may want a Masters reproduction in oil or an abstract design. </div> <div> Trompe L'oeil averages around $85- $125 per sq. ft. </div> <bR> <div> Generally murals start from $25 per sq. ft. for simple cartoons, children's art or sky murals (minimum 100 sq. ft.) and up to $150 per sq. ft. for complex scenes, trompe l'oeil, etc.</div> <div> The average price range is between $35-$55 per sq. ft. plus, scaffold, misc;  plus expenses.</div> <bR> <div> (Scaffold, Clear coat, expenses, travel and lodging to remote locations, etc. are priced separately)</div> <bR> <div>  If a reasonable budget is known beforehand, this can usually be worked within.</div> <bR> <div> All walls must be a “blank canvas”; painted white and ready to go. Is it the full size wall area or just a section to be painted (square feet)? Is there minute detail wanted or portraits involved, etc?</I> </div> <div> <I>3. Does the initial concept drawing need a lot of research, study, sketches? Does the client have tear-sheet ideas, pictures to help clarify the design, wall treatment, etc.?       (If the client has ideas & pictures from magazines like Home & Garden or the Internet, etc. This saves time/money)</I> </div> <div> <I>4. What is the sq. ft. of the area?</I> </div> <div> <I>5. What is the quality of the surface? Is it rough stucco? Does it need surface preparation, patching, priming, etc.</I></div> <div> <I>6. What is the location of the area to be worked? In a stairwell, high ceilings? Does the work need to be done after hours?</I> <I>Ceilings are much harder on the body, mainly the neck.</I></div> <div> <I>7. Is scaffold needed, etc?</I></div> <div> <I>8. Would the mural be painted on canvas & installed?</I></div> <div> <I>9. Where is the site of the project?
